Before PromptShift, I pitched on Shark Tank India — and that experience changed how I thought about business entirely. Standing in front of the sharks, defending your numbers, your model, your vision in real time — it forces a level of clarity that most founders never develop. I walked away understanding exactly what separates ideas that sound good from businesses that actually work.

After that, I spent years in B2B sales and operations — and the thing that frustrated me most was how much time went into non-revenue generating activities. Manually pulling prospect lists, copy-pasting data between tools, updating CRMs, chasing cold leads that should've been followed up days ago. The people who were supposed to be selling were spending 80% of their time not selling.

I wasn't an AI researcher. I was the guy drowning in that busywork. And when I started experimenting with automation tools to claw back my own time, I realized something: the gap between "AI can do this" and "someone actually built it for a sales team" was massive. The tech existed. The implementation didn't.

Most agencies I looked at were either pure tech teams who'd never sat in a sales seat, or marketing agencies who'd slapped "AI" on their website. Neither understood what it actually takes to turn a messy CRM and a burned-out SDR team into a system that books meetings on autopilot.

So I built it myself. Started with my own outreach, then for a few friends' companies, then it kept growing. PromptShift came out of that — not from a business plan, but from solving the same problem over and over until it became obvious this should be a company.
